The Chimere Jacobs Foundation is a charitable organization registered in both the United States and Nigeria, dedicated to improving the lives of children, families, the elderly, and vulnerable members of our communities.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive an education, every person deserves access to essential medical care, and no elderly or vulnerable person should have to go without food.
Through education sponsorship, medical assistance, and community food support, we work to provide practical help to people in need and create opportunities for healthier, more secure, and more hopeful lives.
MISSION/VISION
Our mission is to provide meaningful support to vulnerable individuals and families by investing in education, healthcare, food security, and community wellbeing.
We focus our resources where they can make a lasting difference—helping children stay in school, supporting people who need medical care, and providing food to less privileged individuals and elderly members of the community.
We envision communities where children have access to quality education, vulnerable people can obtain necessary healthcare, and the elderly and less privileged can live with dignity and access to basic necessities.
We are working toward a future where circumstances such as poverty do not prevent a child from receiving an education or prevent a family or elderly person from accessing essential support.
OUR STORY
The Chimere Jacobs Foundation was founded by the Jacobs family of Imo State, Nigeria, in memory of their beloved son and brother, Francis Chimere Jacobs.
The foundation's name carries a deeply personal meaning. It represents the life of a young man whose presence brought his family together and whose life taught them the importance of compassion, patience, commitment, and unconditional love.
Although Chimere faced significant challenges throughout his life, his family never defined him by his condition. They saw him first as their son, brother, and beloved member of the family.
They cared for him, spoke to him, laughed with him, celebrated him, and made sure he knew that he was loved.
His life became a powerful reminder to the Jacobs family that every human life has value and every person deserves love, care, and dignity.
The Foundation carries that lesson forward by extending the same spirit of care to people beyond the Jacobs family.
The Chimere Jacobs Foundation is a continuation of the love that surrounded Chimere throughout his life.
His family experienced firsthand the difference that care, attention, patience, medical support, and unconditional love can make in the life of a vulnerable person.
The Foundation was established to extend that same spirit of compassion to others.
We may not be able to change every circumstance, but we can make a difference in someone's life.
We can help a child stay in school.
We can help someone obtain medical treatment.
We can provide food for an elderly person.
We can remind someone who is struggling that they have not been forgotten.
That is the legacy of Chimere.
